Bug Description

abiword:

I wrote a 10-pages Textdocument. But when I open the document after saving, the text goes beyond the page and it is now only one page.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD or installation of the final release of Intrepid Ibex 8.10. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed. Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

I can confirm this bug if the document is without paragraphs. That is, if a multipage document is created and saved that has a paragraph that spans several pages, when the document is opened the next time, the sentences will run off the the page. If the document consists of several paragraphs that span 10 or more pages, the bug does not exist.

Further, trying to delete lines after the overrun will take almost all the cpu (89%-96%), and freeze AbiWord. I had to kill AbiWord to stop the freeze.

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Ubuntu 8.10 reached EOL on April 30, 2010.
