OSError : [Errno 5] Input/output error when trying to output

This does not look an error of our code.

I see two options:
1) a bug of python. I do not know eos filesystem, but sometimes copying file are bugged on some strange filesystem (but typically when copy from one strange file system to another strange one --which does not seem to be the case--, one clear example of such non supported filesystem by python is cvmfs.
2) an issue of quota, inode or something similar.

Can it be the second? Or can you try on another filesystem?
