Bug Description

My desktop computer (Ubuntu 12.10 64 bits) was able to run unity until yesterday (the only possible change is inside the last Ubuntu updates), using an AMD Radeon HD 7750 (with Catalyst 13.1). But now the system isn't able to start unity. The system is full updated. I've added system information, and I've attached a file with the Unity log.

In TTY1 I can see images from TTY7, and every time I press a key, the image changes from one window to another (open in TTY7, where Unity should have started).

An image from TTY7, I can't reproduce this. It only happened the first time, after reboot, the wallpaper covers all the background.

The problem is solved reinstalling the Catalyst 13.1 drivers . Every time the kernel is updated, the catalyst drivers get broken.

Hi Andreu,

After reading comment #4, this looks to be an issue with the Catalyst drivers and not Unity. I'm marking this bug Invalid for the Unity project. Since you are using the Catalyst drivers from AMD's website, I'm going to add the fglrx project to this bug. Note that bugs in the fglrx project are not tracked in Launchpad. You will need to contact AMD to get support for this.

Actually, on second thought, I don't think marking this bug for the fglrx project is the right thing to do since no one will be notified of this. I would recommend submitting a bug at http://ati.cchtml.com/.
